Development Update: Emporium Apartments & Emporium Residences, Southpoint
As we enter the final quarter of 2016 we are pleased to report that construction has been progressing well on the Emporium Apartments and Emporium Residences tower.
Building works are continuing to advance above ground with the level one slab complete and all four lift pits and shafts poured to level two.
Installation of the second tower crane has been completed allowing for increased site productivity which will see the building become more visible from the street as it continues to rise.
The next three months will see the completion of the drunken columns on Grey Street and the commencement of the carpark slabs from level two.
The central commercial tower and soon to be global headquarters for Flight Centre Travel Group is now nearing completion for a scheduled opening within the next few months.
Installation of the intricate kinetic façade is now complete to the carpark levels of Flight Centre tower. This wind activated artwork mirrors the movement and play of light on the Brisbane River, creating a beautiful rippling effect.
Construction on the retail and dining precinct upgrade is likewise advancing well with the much anticipated Woolworths tenancy to commence their fitout shortly and the new escalator access to the upgraded South Bank Train Station nearing completion.
The restoration and refurbishment of Collins Place is now complete with all of the heritage features preserved and restored both internally and externally.
