We remind our clients that the following documents are usually requested from our Accountants and an Auditor. Please check your records now to ensure you have them on hand.

Bank Statements for any accounts held by your SMSF

Covering from the 1/07/2015 to 30/06/2016 (excluding Macquarie accounts)

Contributions made into your SMSF

Breakdown of Contribution Type (e.g. Employer, personal) and who it is for

Investment Statements

Annual Tax Statement, Transaction Summary covering 1/07/2015 to 30/06/2016, and Portfolio Valuation as at 30/06/2016

Share Trading

Buy/sell Contract Notes, correspondence from share registries (e.g. dividend notices), Annual Tax Statement, Transaction Summary covering 1/07/15 to 30/06/2016 and Portfolio Valuation as at 30/06/2016

Property

A copy of the Loan agreement and Loan Account statements (Inc. any offset accounts)
Copies of all Invoices paid (e.g. Solicitors invoices, Rates Notices, Body Corporate invoices etc.)
Rental Statements and the Rental Agreement
Copy of the Landlord insurance policy and invoice
Copy of any depreciation reports and invoice

Supporting Documents / Invoices

Supporting documents or invoices for any other withdrawals or credits into your SMSF’s bank accounts (excl. advisor fees, ongoing administration fees, rollovers from super funds).

Important:
Ensure all invoices, rental agreements, loan accounts etc. are in the name of your SMSF.
